iPhone 3.0Wednesday 18th March 2009 at 3:23 pm
It looks like Apple have announced iPhone 3.0 in the nick of time! Being a bit of an Apple evangelist I was one of those who bought both the original and 3G versions of the iPhone on the day they were released. However in recent months, the lack of basic functionality has begun to grate and I could even be caught having a sneaky peek through the Blackberry website! It seems now though that Apple have addressed some of the issues with the announcement of iPhone 3.0. It looks like I'm going to be a happy iPhone customer for at least a little longer with the new features including:
I would still like to be able to do 'data tethering' whereby I can use the internet my iPhone provides on my mac while I'm out and about, and I would also like to be able to sync over WiFi instead of finding the cable every time. Overall though, good news for iPhone users everywhere and it makes me a little less grumpy about continuing to pay for the contract! The only downside is now having to wait until 'Summer' to actually use these new features. |
